What should I do if I have a car accident?

Check the accident scene is safe. If anyone is injured or there is significant property damage, call the police immediately, and an ambulance if needed. Try to prevent any further damage to your car and keep it secure.

Ensure you collect the name, address, phone number, registration number and car insurance details of any other driver involved and the contact details of any witnesses.
